All About Me

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my corner of the web. I'm Natalie, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself while getting to learn a bit more about each of you! Let me start by sharing some background and fun facts.
Me!
I am a Registered Dietitian, currently pursuing my Masters degree in Nutrition at Dominican University.

Dominican University
I attended Dominican University for my undergraduate degree and received my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2015. I completed my dietetic internship through Dominican in 2016, and went on to become a Registered Dietitian at the start of 2017.

Now for some fun facts...

I work full-time as a health coach for a New York mobile-based health company called Noom. I work remotely (you will typically find me in Starbucks or any other coffee shop around the city), spending my days chatting with my clients and helping them reach their health and weight loss goals through motivational interviewing and making small lifestyle changes one week at a time! I also work part time as a dietitian for a private practice group, and love the opportunity I have to share my medical nutrition therapy skills and knowledge to help my clients make changes to their diet so that they can live their healthiest lives.

I was born and raised in Chicago - and will forever argue that deep dish pizza is the best pizza 😉

I have a cat, Cocoa, who is 19 years old. She thinks she is a princess, and is very vocal about making her presence known.

I am passionate about traveling. My absolute favorite place that I've visited so far is Seville, Spain. My dream job would be to one day work as a dietitian in Seville, helping promote health and wellness within the community and in the schools (I did some of this work while I was studying abroad there).

Now that you know a bit more about me, I'm excited to get to know more about you all!

  1. Hi Natalie. First, let me say Cocoa is gorgeous! You are lucky to still have her. As a dietitian I look forward to helping you stretch your thinking to see how your field connects with technology in education. While not a direct link I have no doubt knowing more about our students today will help you in your practice. Looking forward to learning with you this term.

    1. Thank you! Cocoa is definitely getting up there in age, but you'd never know it by how active she is! I look forward to learning how I am able to integrate technology into my dietetics practice, as I feel this is extremely relevant, even if I'm not teaching in a classroom :)
